1.Volume and weight have effects on the coefficient of thermal conductivity in mineral fibers products-----ZhouLiming Etc. Beta Super Heat-insulation Center

Abstract: this paper analyses the mode of thermal conductivity in mineral fibers products, and derives apparent coefficient of thermal conductivity formula. At the same time, this paper summarizes the empirical formula of coefficient of thermal conductivity in the typical mineral fibers products ,analyses the functional mechanism of various concerned factors, and gets the qualitative and partially quantitative results that the physical properties such as volume and weight have effects on the coefficient of thermal conductivity in mineral fibers products, thereby provides infallible reference for the research ,production and application in mineral fibers.

2.Nanometer-scale porous siliceous Insulation Materials-----Dengyin etc. Beta Super Heat-insulation Center

Abstract: The special nanometer-scale porous structure enables nanometer-scale porous insulation materials to insulate heat excellently. At first this paper introduce the developmental history and the mechanism of nanometer-scale porous siliceous insulation materials, simultaneously briefly introduce the technique of production and expatriates the major physical performance ,the performance of heat engineering and other applied specialties.

We know that the coefficients of thermal conductivity in the static air and most other gases such as carbon dioxide ,nitrogen are very low, but they can not be solely used as thermal insulating materials because of the convectional circulation and transparency in infrared radiation. So, it is necessary to design s kind of structure to maximally limit the convectional circulation and transparency in infrared radiation. Generally this structure can be achieved with the help of some solid materials. But almost all solid materials have larger coefficients of thermal conductivity than the static gases, thus it is indispensable to realize this structure with solid materials as less as possible. To imagine setting a limit to air gap to the extent of nanometer scale, then we can control the conduction and convectional circulation of gases on the whole., and the coefficients of thermal conductivity in this kind of thermal insulating materials will become lower than static air.

In 1940s, Mr. Samuel Kistler in the American MONSANTO company make the mode of nanometer-scale porous structure become a reality on the siliceous aerogel materials. At that time, he succeeded making the nanometer-scale porous thermal insulating materials by reserving the range structure of silicon dioxide particles in the state of gel, at this time, there were numerous nanometer-scale spaces, whose free path is less than air molecule, around chain structure of silicon dioxide.
