Drum Heaters

DESCRIPTION

Drum heater is made mainly from silicone rubber heater, which the heating layer of wound wires is sandwiched between both of fiberglass reinforced silicone rubber cloth. A uniform distribution of heating wires across the heating layer of the drum heater will provide a positive prevention from hot spots and overheating the sensitive products.

It's designed to provide a practical efficient means of freeze protection, viscosity control, melting of solids and maintaining materials at elevated temperatures.

Easy to use, flexible drum heaters provide a simple, effective and reliable way to heat the contents of your drums. Simply wrap the drum heater around your drum, attach the spring and hook arrangement, then plug the drum heater in. Ensure the drum heater is properly positioned below the content level of the drum.

If you need a thermal insulation on one side of the heater for energy-saving, a foamed layer will be integrated with the heater’s surface.

Temperature controller: we have two temperature controlling way for your choice:

1) Adjustable thermostat for a temperature control range of 0 to 150 °C;

2) Unadjustable thermostat (temperature switch).

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

Typical Applications for electric drum heaters and pail heaters are chemicals, oils, greases, fats, molasses, adhesives, plastics, mastics, resins, syrups, and a variety of liquid food products.

Maintain liquid temperatures in water purification systems
Use oil drum heaters to raise and maintain temperature during biodiesel production.
Maintain liquid resin at optimum temperature, maintain viscosity of chemical binder in sand casting mold operation.

CAUTIONS

Drum heaters are NOT for use with "flammables" .
Pls. check if the heater’s surface is damaged before using.
Avoid the heavy compression and sharp shape object, don’t pull hard the leading cable.
Ensure drum heaters are in full contact with the drum completely BELOW the level of liquid in the container. Failure to do so can irreparably damage the drum heater.
Do not bend a drum heater sharply as this may cause internal damage to the heating element.
All applications require temperature monitoring for safety and accurate results while using drum heater.
